Medical Privacy is a thing of high value, it gets discussed with regards to Vaccines and what you choose to share and not, and that is for you. Privacy in general, as a right.
Conservatives usually have that “If you aren’t doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about,” position, changed a bit after COVID. Libertarians have always believed in this was wrong, you not doing anything wrong, why are they poking around?
I am pro-life, but even if you were to criminalize an OBGYN or something from doing it, you still need to prove it was done, and you still have means to the end of such proof. Illegal searches of medical records don’t play into it.
In most cases you’d have to brag about having one to get that Medical Hitperson in trouble.
Anyone could say well she was pregnant, then she wasn’t, however you can’t prove it wasn’t a miscarriage or anything like that. Only the individual or individuals who did the procedure could say otherwise.
The possibility for reasonable suspicion wouldn’t play out. Maybe if there is a high volume of it happening in an area, one eye brow could rise, however correlation isn’t causation.
Not sure why anyone would think pro-life should mean you throw out means to an end in prosecution, you do that and you get persecution. You can’t forget justice over moral grandstanding, even suspected Rapists have this benefit, in fact the more serious you consider the crime, the more evidence you should require.
The personal responsibility factor doesn’t give the cops a right to scare a poor girl into pointing the finger either, the girl paid for the hit, she didn’t do it. No one has to do the actual act, for money or not.
Privacy, Medical Privacy, Abortion, Due Process....
